    Real World Responsibilities: 


    During your time with us you will actually work on real-time projects to develop you skills in your chosen field and gain the knowledge in the following areas:

    • Hydraulic, electrical and welding processes to manufacture products to customer requirements and specifications.

    • Operate various types of welding machines on various materials: Short arc, aluminum, FCAW, etc.

    • Operate stationary and/or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal, oxidation and foreign matter from weldments and structures.

    • Operate material handling equipment to move parts and materials, as needed.

    • Ability to read a tape measure and knowledgeable in basic math

    • Experience with basic hand tools

    • Knowledge of basic welding practices.

    • Read and interpret blueprints and set up jigs/fixtures.

    • Comply with Terex Utilities quality standards through error prevention and by meeting requirements with zero defects

    Must haves:

    • High School Diploma and enrolled at LATI in the welding program. 

    • Ability to work either during Summer period and as a part time co-op during the school year.

    • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    • Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required.

    • Physical requirements of the job - ability to lift up to 40 lbs or lift over 40 lbs with assistance of machinery or others.

    • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time.

    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
