    Terex Environmental Equipment/CBI is a manufacturer of Wood Chippers, Biomass machines, and Grinders and has one location in Newton. It is part of the Materials Processing division of Terex.


    Assistance with Design, develop and test all aspects of one or more CBI Product lines.






    • Responsible for being the main Engineering and technical resource one or more CBI Product lines
    • Responsible for machine design using 3D Solidworks CAD across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical disciplines
    • Create and manage all Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings
    • Work with other departments to define design criteria.  Create project plan and meet deliverables
    • Provide manufacturing support to prevent delays in assembly process
    • Provide Customer Service, Dealer and Actual Customer Support
    • Perform ongoing review of Product Line for new methods, materials, cost saving opportunities, etc.
    • Follow proper Engineering procedures for ECOs, ECRs, etc.
    • Support CBI Purchasing & Warehouse on any relevant inventory or supply chain concerns
    • Provide sound Engineering concepts & principles.  Perform FEA as required on designs
    • Produce timely and accurate As-Built BOMs
    • Produce timely and accurate material for Service Manuals
    • Produce all required documentation for aftermarket product support




    Basic Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree 
    • 2+ years experience in mechanical design, detailing, and the use of computer-assisted drafting (CAD). 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Solidworks
    • BSME
    • Manufacturing or aftermarket experience
    • Project Management experience
    • Knowledge of common manufacturing terminology and techniques, including welding, fabricating, and machining.
    • Thorough knowledge of English and Metric units of measurement, as well as basic mathematics and geometry.
    • Self-starter, independent worker with good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in deadline driven environment.
