    This position is responsible for assisting in the product design change process. This process involves thorough troubleshooting, analysis, and design to create engineered solutions that improve the quality and safety of Genie aerial work products (AWP). 

    • Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends and or implements improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions to ensure the quality of the data across the organization
    • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
    • Investigates and provides solutions for highly complex problems where intricate analysis of situations or data
    • Creating and managing training requirements and process documents used to manage the data
    • Coordinates process steps and status with all departments to maintain a clear line of sight of project deliverables and timelines
    • May edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other team members in engineering
    • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
    • Recommend and implement changes both at a project level and system level
    • Drive change and improvement across the organization




    Basic Qualifications

    • B.S. Mechanical Engineering - ABET accreditation school
    • 1+ year in design
    • 1+ year of experience in SolidWorks, Enterprise PDM and/or Oracle business software
    • 1+ year of experience with manufacturing bills of materials and product structure
    • 1+ year of experience with engineering document management
    • 1+ year of experience in designing sheet metal and steel parts

    Preferred Qualifications

    • The ability to understand and convey safety policy and practices to others, and employ continuous quality and lean practices in the assigned work areas
    • Knowledge of Models and Options strategy
    • Review and interpret Governing Regulations and apply to Aerial Work Platforms
    • Intermediate skills using Excel, queries, and databases Interpret Engineer Drawings, knowledge of GD&T is a plus
    • Experience in FEA software, ANSYS Workbench preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Problem solving skills to identify and remedy problems
    • Requires the ability to reach out and work cross functionally with all departments of the company to achieve results
    • Experience designing in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD system
    • Experience working with CAD vault systems
    • Oracle eBusiness suite experience, 11i
    • ECO and Configurator management experience
