    Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with brach offices worldwide; we manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telhandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articular booms. 

    Responsibilities:

    The Buyer I - MRO/Manufacturing will be responsible for assigned tasks generated within the course of daily purchasing operations. Close interaction will be required with Materials, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Accounting, Engineering, and other Plant /Corporate personnel to provide data, timely ordering and delivery of supplies, information and metrics.  This Buyer acts as a communication and logistics link between receiving, inventory, quality, purchasing and other key functions. Negotiating  changes with vendors and manufacturing teams is a key responsibility as well.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains soft copy data that tracks suspended items, assigns actions and tracks resolution 
    • Supplier forecast confirmations 
    • Buys non-production supplies and other miscellaneous commodities as assigned 
    • Collects and distributes data related to plant office supply purchases to budget owners. 
    • Tracks the on time delivery of first article data and/or parts for the facility
    • Coordinates the delivery of data and/or parts to the appropriate QA queue and statuses the timely processing
    • Performs / coordinates site specific safety training for all supplier representatives as required

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in discipline that included curriculum  in inventory control, material distribution or planning; in lieu of degree may consider candidates possessing a combination of education plus 5+ years applicable experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience 
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools; advance Excel skills (vLook up, Pivot Tables, formulas, charts, etc.)

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles strongly desired
    • Experience purchasing from existing Terex suppliers preferred
    • Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment essential
    • In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process used in the operating unit of assignment.  Working knowledge of production planning, material requirements planning and Kanban systems. 
    • Working knowledge of buying, and ordering procedures.
    • Working knowledge of computer systems that support production, e.g., inventory control, purchasing
