    Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with branch offices worldwide; we manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms.  We are a company with a strong safety first mentality, team based culture, respect for the individual and high integrity.  This position is located in Redmond, WA.

    In this position you will be responsible for advancing and maintaining Terex Aerial Work Platform’s Ergonomic improvement activities through training, process improvement, project management, and promotion and implementation of proven ergonomic tools.  You will work with your management team to establish a future state vision and develop a plan for implementation. 


    • Perform Ergonomic assessments on existing job tasks, both manufacturing and office areas

    • Lead, coordinate, and facilitate the site’s ergonomic risk reduction efforts, as assigned

    • Utilize the The Human Tech System Database® (THS) to prioritize, manage, assign, and track progress of ergonomic improvement activities

    • Deliver ergonomic awareness training as required

    • Design and fabricate ergonomic themed processes, tools and equipment

    • Support leadership team with investigating root causes associated with work-related injuries

    • Collaborate with site Safety professionals in analyzing injury trends and ergonomic risk factors

    • Partner with leadership team to develop plans to achieve annual risk reduction targets

    • Periodically update leadership team on identified ergonomic risk factors, status or improvement milestones, and additional resources required for successful improvement implementation

    • Ensure all current and new production processes have ergonomic assessments that are within target

    • Embrace Lean Manufacturing (TBS) philosophies and ensure concepts are applied on all improvements


    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in lean manfacturing and ergonomics

    Preferred Qualification


    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

    • Ability to identify and reduce safety and ergonomic risks in a manufacturing environment

    • Direct experience with ergonomic principals and tools

    • Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and the ablity to reduce safety and ergonomic risk in a manufacturing environment

    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing (TBS) tools and methodologies

    • Demonstrated ergonomic design skills of processes, tools and equipment

    • Demonstrated fabrication skills preferred

    • Effectively deals with ambiguity, is self-directed/motivated
