Performs a variety of work related to movement and control of materials and finished goods, i.e. responsible for replenishing materials used on the flow line as well as other general material functions.
Replenish materials used on line
Work with buyer to implement and manage materials. Supporting: implementation of kanbans, stocking material, faxing orders, and following escalation procedure for expediting material as required.
Perform material counts as needed to verify on hand quantities. Working with out of stock report.
Interpret order acknowledgment as to ship loose bill of material.
Work interactively with ASI computer system.
Exposure to all kinds of weather, ie going outside to get parts.
Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required.
Knowledge of general truck assembly requirements
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and order acknowledgment.
Must have some computer skills including ASI
Must be certified to drive a forklift or have the skills to obtain certification.
Work under general supervision; instructions and guidance provided on procedural changes, new regulations, etc.
