    Oklahoma City is a unique site to Terex Corporation in North America, representing all three business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Cranes, and Terex Materials Processing. Its workforce of 500+ team members is anticipated to grow by more than 1,000 over the next few years. The 100+ acre facility has recently begun an extensive remodel to accommodate the business’ growth.



    The Terex Business System (TBS) Lean Leader position is responsible for perpetuating continuous improvement through coaching, training, guiding, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within business processes and systems.  This position will focus on both shop floor and administrative processes.


    • Works with site management team to implement strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the company. Focuses on improving safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
    • Instructs others formally and informally in continuous process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management.
    • Develops team members ability to utilize tools, techniques and methodologies: assisting department leaders to convert theory into successful application.
    • Gathers information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs, and duration.
    • Serves as internal advisor, facilitator, and participant on team-based improvement such as TIP’s, 3P, Materials Flow/Pull, Value Stream Mapping and Problem Solving.
    • Identifies and recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
    • Measures, documents, and communicates progress towards meeting objectives. Creates and maintains communication materials, A3s, charters, report-outs, graphical display of metrics, etc, to communicate progress of the Lean transformation for all levels of the organization.
    • Identifies long-term improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
    • Participates in deploying the improvements that align with meeting annual goals and objectives.
    • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • 6 years working within a Lean Operating System
    • HS Diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience as a Lean Leader
    • Knowledge and use of Lean Principles; continuous improvement, process management, 3P, cost downs, TQM (Total Quality Management), balanced use of people, lean equipment design, maximize value add, and kaizen events.
    • Leadership of no fewer than 25 kaizen improvement events.   
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
    • Project Management skills
