  • Overview:

    Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industrymunicipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.

     

    This position will be assigned to the Strategic Sourcing Implementation Team located in Watertown, South Dakota.  The Quality Technician will be working in a team environment with other members to establish efficient methods and processes, assist with new or improved components and product designs; review, verify and validate designs/drawings and update work instructions and bills of material associated with implementing new suppliers/parts directly related to the Terex Strategic Sourcing Initiative.

     

     

    The Quality Technician performs a variety of tasks insuring Terex Utilities delivers quality products that meet customer expectations in the following areas as needed: Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection, Calibration, Internal and External Auditing, Final Inspection. 

    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

    • Communicate problems and solutions to their supervisor, internal and external customers, and with other departments and plants
    • Perform weld inspections utilizing the non-destructive testing methods used by Terex Utilities at the various facilities
    • Investigate problems, determine root cause, and recommend or implement effective solutions
    • Provide training to the Terex Utilities team on Quality Standards and customer requirements
    • Navigate company on-line product structure, route inventory, and demand files as needed to perform problem resolution

     

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Three years' experience in Assembly/Installation, Testing, or Inspection
    • Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient in blueprint interpretation
    • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment
    • Familiarity with weld inspection and the non-destructive testing methods used by Terex Utilities at the various facilities.
