    Responsibilities:

    This position is a responsible to coordinate all aspects of the service department, including team member supervision, customer service & satisfaction, quality control and related functions. Responsible for shop operations for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.  Provide back-up to Service Manager.

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Supervise staff, mentor and drive organization to superior performance levels. Hold team accountable for service and performance objectives.
    • Manage short and long term plans to attain service objectives including operating profit, cash flow and inventory levels for all income streams.
    • Oversees the scheduling of repairs with customers and prepares schedule for shop personnel.
    • Oversees timely processing of work orders.
    • Manage all shop service functions including: the preparation of quotations for service repairs, scheduling of branch technicians and mechanics.
    • Provide customers on-time delivery of quality services and products.
    • Assist in maintaining facility and ensure branch compliance with local, state and Federal laws, rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA, while maintaining a safe, clean working environment.
    • Preparation of an annual budget and tracking to ensure operation works within budget constraints.
    • Direct the work of service leads and personnel in shop.
    • Supervise training for leads and shop service technicians.
    • Track career path progress and training initiatives.
    • Assist in supervision of parts procurement.
    • Responsible for scheduling, timecard recording, vacation and absence tracking, and conducting interviews for shop service technicians.
    • Responsible for layout of repair work projects, quality control, job estimates, documentation, safety and waste control.
    • Responsible for daily activities of the leads as well as coordinate completion of jobs with customers.
    • Insure customer and vendor satisfaction with warranty work.
    • Other related duties that may be assigned by Manager.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • 5+ years of industry related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior supervisory or lead experience
    • Technical knowledge and diagnostic capabilities for Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems. Knowledge of digger derricks, aerial and man-lifts 
    • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics 
    • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • Effectively interact with others

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels including employees, customers and vendors
    • Excellent written and verbal skills and have current PC skills (e.g., proficient in Microsoft Office type software including Excel and Word)
    • Candidate needs to exhibit strong ability in communication, leadership, and customer service.
    • Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred; good driving record
