    Responsibilities:

    The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the MPS range of vibratory screening and feeder systems, leading a team of engineers and working closely with the Product Management, Global Sales teams to create and execute on a clear product strategy. Clarity of current and future market trends, latest innovations and dealer and customer needs will be critical for the success of this goal.  The role will also be responsible for providing day to day engineering support for the Durand manufacturing site and the custom engineered solutions.  The person must therefore not only be visionary, but have the leadership capability to engage all functions around his or her vision for the future.


     


    Within the first year of the role the key areas of focus will be the creation of a comprehensive product strategy, an assessment of current competencies, addressing the critical actions for the engineering team.


     


     


    Key Tasks



    • All aspects of the Engineering management Department including scheduling, designing cost out, product upgrades, team members leadership and development, design issue resolution, continuous improvement, CAD systems & partnership with all other functions.

    • Effective project management including appropriate metrics to track departmental productivity and efficiency and "right first time" percentages

    • Provide leadership for the evaluation and improvement in quality, reliability, and safety in product design.

    • Lead Eengineering on the use of new IT and engineering technology for incorporation into the Vibrating product offering

    • Leadership of development and execution of ongoing Product management strategies for the product range, including competitor analysis, data collection from competitors, dealers and customers to develop product modification and new model development.

    • Provide proactive support of distributors and regional sales managers to promote vibratory equipment.

    • Create and maintain documentation in support of the Terex New Product Development Process (NPPD).

    • Monitor market prices and improve product margins.

    • In conjunction with Marketing produce and maintain sales documents including price forms and option packages for product lines.

    • Ongoing comprehensive and systematic investigation of product opportunities by reference to but not exclusive internet, Dealers, Existing customers, Non Terex customers, Technical support and design engineers, Competitor products, Market intelligence and Other specialists Systematic evaluation of commercial viability opportunities in terms of capture of credible data including but not exclusive to Target countries, Volumes by market/country, Target market segments, Target selling prices, Competitive volumes/selling prices, Product costs and Cannibalisation

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:



    • Bachelor Degree 

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience.


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Experience managing design engineering teams with multiple skils

    • Manufacturing experience that includes shop floor experience.

    • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.

    • Experience managing budgets.
