    Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with branch offices worldwide; we manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms.  We are a company with a strong safety first mentality, team based culture, respect for the individual and high integrity.  This position is located in Redmond, WA.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead/assist in completing plant objectives through executing daily and weekly improvement projects utilizing the PDCA method.  Activities shall include, but not limited to:

    • Training of team members in areas such as pull production, 5S/Visual Management, Standard Work, Just in Time production techniques.
    • Utilize root cause problem solving tools to solve technical problems
    • Document work process information such as; process flow (People and Material) and time studies
    • Lead improvement workshops, with guidance and support of Lean Workshop Leader.
    • Implementation of process and equipment improvements as directed.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas: Business/Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in manufacturing in a lean environment or schooling in lean practices
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
    • Ability to facilitate group problem solving activities in a structured manner.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Good presentation skills are a must.
    • Track record of implementing improvement opportunities
    • Strong PC skills including MS Office.
    • Ability to work flexible hours.
