This position will be responsible for the development, design, analysis, testing and start-up of vibratory equipment that is primarily used in the aggregate and mining industries. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work both individually and in a dynamic team environment that encompasses all aspects of our facility, including but not limited to: Sales, Aftermarket Sales, Field Service, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Production and R&D.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, design, analysis, and testing of vibratory process equipment.
  • Create and modify engineering drawings in conformance to Terex standards to accurately and clearly define equipment and parts needed for Production.
  • Create accurate Bills of Material needed for fabrication, assembly, and Purchasing.
  • Perform essential calculations and analyses to ensure that our products meet current Company and industry standards utilizing computer tools such as Finite Element Analysis and calculation spreadsheets.
  • Grow and maintain a working library of design, analysis, CAD, and manufacturing data related to the various types and brands of Terex equipment produced at our facility.
  • Assist with the development of new market initiatives and support our current marketing strategies.
  • Assist the Sales and Aftermarket Sales teams with providing our customers timely and accurate proposals for machinery, parts, and service.
  • Consistently identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements using optimized designs, methods and tools.
  • Fully comply with the Company’s initiatives for safety, quality, standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with 5+years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, ABET accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design with 5+years of experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Knowledge of or experience in heavy equipment fabrication is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of basic engineering calculations for stress/strain/fatigue and common material properties.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D computer aided design programs, including a working knowledge of FEA. (ProE, Creo and Simulate preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Data Management systems for Engineering documentation. (PTC Windchill preferred)
  • Ability to resolve problems by identifying and analyzing the problems logically and comprehensively.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with New Product/Process Development processes and standards including gate reviews.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
