About the Position


Title:                    IT Business Analyst

Reports to:         Business Applications Manager

Location:            Coalville


Position Description

This will be a business facing role supporting the successful delivery of IT projects for the Materials Processing (MP) segment as well as corporate IT initiatives. The Business Analyst will actively support all aspects of projects from initiation through go live and post implementation support. The key focus of the role will be to map business requirements to IT services ensuring business value and quality of delivery. It will also require day-to-day support of all business applications with primary focus on oracle ERP.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define, plan and implement process improvements for the sites.
  • Manage and deliver small & medium sized IT projects. 
  • Support MP’s business application portfolio to drive standardization & simplification.
  • Collaborate with the various departments of the business to determine requirements for upcoming projects. 
  • Collate and document requirement analysis using interviews, meeting/workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow analysis. 
  • Exercise judgment to document/present available options to the stakeholders and make recommendations based on financial, resource, and technological considerations. 
  • Ensure that colleagues, customers and stakeholders have a clear view of progress, issues, risks and interdependencies relating to operational plans and projects. 
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with MP Infrastructure & Service Delivery teams, as well as the wider Terex IT organization. 
  • Define and Develop reports with the Business Intelligent team member to create dashboards to support measurement of performance and decision making throughout the business.


Experience Level:

  • Minimum 2-4+ years of hands-on experience with ERP applications.
  • Experience supporting projects with business users and IS/IT components.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards in project management and development methodologies.
  • Experience supporting business applications including ERP.
  • Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IS/IT and the user community.

Level of education required:  

  • Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience if non-degree

  • Drive for results. A Willingness and ability to travel up to 10 - 20% of the time depending on assigned business initiatives is required.
