***12 MONTHS MATERNITY COVER ***  Reporting to the General Manager, this job role will be responsible for assisting in providing a professional, value added HR service to Terex team members at the Coalville and Long Crendon facility, in line with legislative requirements and Terex best practice.


The key purpose of this role is not only to provide and deliver on an HR strategy which is aligned to the business plan, but also to act as the conscience of the organisation, standing alone where required to set tone and be an advocate for the values, ensuring that the needs of each piece of the organisation are met and enabled to deliver high performance. 


In order to be successful this person must be a credible business leader in the eyes of his or her peers, and work from within the team, rather than providing comment from the outside.


The role will be expected to provide leadership on:

  • Organisational design, forecasting various stages in accordance with the business cycle
  • Objective-setting, appraisals and personal development
  • Resource planning and recruitment
  • Training, coaching & managing
  • Employee Relations issues both individually and collectively with recognised Trade Unions
  • Salary review process and compensation and benefits issues
  • Succession planning
  • Change management
  • The promotion of the Terex Way values
  • Internal communications strategy

You will also be required to travel to Long Crendon site.


Qualifications and Education

  • Qualified or working towards CIPD
  • A business related degree or equivalent qualification




  • Experience within a role of similar size and scope.
  • Experience of supporting organisational change, including restructuring, redundancies and TUPE transfers.
  • Specific HR experience and success in development of HR policies, employee relations, organisational design and development.
  • A track record of commercial/bottom line delivery of projects as part of a business team.  Demonstrate understanding of commercial implications of decision making and can provide pragmatic solutions which fit to the business need.
  • Experience in the international marketplace with some cross cultural resourcefulness is a distinct advantage.
  • vidence of hiring and developing high performance talent.
  • Knowledge of practical HR principles and practices as well as employment legislation.
