    • Creation of technical reports, to the required level within timeframes agreed to ensure regulatory compliance in global markets.
    • Responsible for elevated technical support queries, developing and implementing both strategic change and tactical improvements in the product support and reliability. 
    • Present technical and quality information (ie. root cause, design and material analysis) to internal and external customers.
    • Perform stress analysis and define and provide direction for testing to assure product performance and conformance to industry standards and custom requirements. 
    • Provide technical support via direct communication to sales, engineering, product safety and manufacturing.
    • Determine test requirements and acceptance criteria
    • Assist others (engineers, management, service, legal counsel, etc.) in evaluating design
    • Expedite development of design solutions
    • Review global vendor proposals for compliance
    • Product Development Projects
      • Assist Project Engineers in interpreting industry standards and customer specifications
      • Assist in development of design parameters
      • Review designs with Product Engineers as require
      • Maintain design history for future reference
      • Review test requirements and acceptance criteria with responsible Engineer
      • Review performance of prototype vehicles


    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum four-year degree in an engineering discipline; advanced technical degree highly desirable.
    • Requires ten years minimum experience with capital equipment design and manufacturing.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with structural design; knowledge of welding standards 
    • Knowledge of electric motor driven equipment and electric/hydraulic controls desired
    • Prior team project experience and proven problem-solver
    • P.E license preferred
    • Basic competency in up-to-date release level of CAD software [SolidWorks]



    • Works under general supervision of Director of Engineering.
    • Makes routine independent decisions.
