  • Overview:

    We are currently seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to support us at our Coalville Facility.



    Evaluate existing chamber costings, including routings for completeness – materials, labour and overhead for WW chamber manufacturing footprint

    • Review of chamber margins
    • Controlling and reporting factory labour and overheads
    • Analysis of Manufacturing Spending and Absorption
    • Analysis of Purchase Price Variance
    • Support new product development with costing analysis
    • Provision of information to managers in an easily understood format
    • Prepare analysis of direct labour efficiencies monthly/quarterly.
    • Review of Inventory reports and files to ensure accuracy.
    • Quarterly Excess and Obsolete review, cycle counting checks, reporting
    • Reporting and commentary to budget or forecasts for inventory & margins
    • Prepare costing information to assist with budgeting and forecasting
    • Analysis and review of standard cost and actual cost on BOM’s tracking
    • Carry out machine cost comparisons across Terex Manufacturing sites
    • Work with Engineering, purchasing and manufacturing with levels of cost detail
    • Carry out commodity/component analysis to support supplier cost verification
    • Support Product Managers in generating pricing, Price Book updates as needed
    • Assist with site invoices with coding issues or hold/receiving errors
    • Partner with GBS, monthly assistance on journal entries and cost allocations
    • Assist with revenue recognition monthly
    • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, assist with site testing as needed
    • Ad hoc requests for information as needed to help support the business



    A third level education, ideally in an Accounts capacity CIMA/ACCA/ACA

    - Previous experience working within Cost Accountancy in a Manufacturing Environment

    - Strong systems knowledge and proficient in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft word

    - Experience of working with Oracle & Forthshift would also be highly desirable though not essential

    - The ability to work to prioritise and thrive in a fast moving business to meet tight deadlines

    - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    - Ability to travel
