About the Position
Title:                      Senior Manager – Corporate Marketing & Commercial Excellence

Reports to:             Vice President, Global Marketing

Location:                Westport, CT

This position is a member of the Corporate Marketing Team reporting to the Vice President of Global Marketing and Commercial Excellence. The position will be a key contributor to Terex Corporation’s branding and marketing strategies and tactics that support and maximize the company’s image, market share, and financial performance.  The role will drive corporate branding strategy and manage execution including key external communication platforms such as terex.com and corporate social media outlets as well as major cross-segment trade shows. The position will collaborate intensely with Segment Marketing teams, providing functional leadership and ensuring that branding and external communications are aligned and coordinated across the company in support of a consistent, world-class customer experience.  The role also collaborates with IT, legal, and commercial excellence resources. Works within boundaries of all corporate policies, guidelines and in support of the Terex Way Values. 



Key Tasks:


Drive the development and implementation pf Terex Corporate branding strategy including standards, tools and processes to represent the company and its portfolio of brands.

  • Lead in-depth strategic review including analysis, development of viable options and selection of optimal choice. Will include significant interaction with senior leadership
  • Develop comprehensive standards document and design initiatives for all tools involving corporate identity (e.g. business cards, templates, folders, documents, etc.)
  • Execute roll out of standards and tools and provide ongoing brand stewardship across all business segments and geographies
  • Maintain/evolve clear, actionable brand standards for cross-segment brands (Terex®) and be the ‘go to resource’ for direction and guidance on branding, logos, trademarks, quality of material, and consistency of tone of voice
  • Collaborate with Legal to manage the company’s portfolio of trademark registrations
  • Manage budgets and payment processes for corporate brand development and design

Develop a comprehensive global digital stakeholder experience strategy and manage its execution in alignment with the overall Terex Corporate brand and business strategy. This includes, but is not limited to the following tools and activities:

  • Manage terex.com home page and Corporate content including overall website architecture to address customer and business segment needs
    Collaborate with IT Global Web team to provide strategic direction and business prioritization of projects and maintain alignment of all necessary stakeholders
  • Manage Terex Corporate Facebook site with engaging content that successfully attracts follower base that meets or exceeds similar sized competitors
  • Provide thought leadership to business segments regarding social media strategy and tactics by maintaining subject matter expertise and engaging appropriate team members in cross segment forums
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure alignment between customer-facing digital and social media platforms and those managed by HR for recruiting purposes and team member engagement (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, terex.jobs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to ensure alignment between customer-facing digital and social media platforms and those managed by IR for shareholder and analyst audiences (terex.com/investors)
    Collaborate with IT and Legal to set domain name strategy and manage the company’s portfolio of domain name registrations

Manage the strategic direction of Terex participation in international, cross-segment trade shows and drive cross-business collaboration and efficient execution at major shows.

  • Coordinate and actively participate in cross-segment Trade Show Steering team meetings
  • Manage procurement (including buy vs. rent decisions), storage and budget for centralized trade show booth properties
  • Provide critical support to successful execution of trade shows including Senior Executive logistical support and social media extension of show messaging

Intensely collaborate across marketing, market research and commercial excellence functions to support Terex transformation initiatives resulting in a superior understanding of the customer journey, conversion points and optimize flow of customers/leads into and through the sales pipeline.

Manage agency partners, vendors, and budgets related to all initiatives outlined above.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 10 years diversified marketing experience



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in capital goods with both brand strategy and digital communication credentials
    Direct support to sales teams, distributors, adealer networks as well as direct customer support experience a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and organize/complete multiple projects efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively deliver in a challenging environment, and have a tool box of techniques and networks to enable him or her to deliver.
    Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a geographically and functionally diverse team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels effectively
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Social Media Platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn) and web content management systems (Sitefinity) required
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
