Overview:

Terex Corporation is a diversified global manufacturer reporting in three business segments: Aerial Work Platforms, Cranes, and Materials Processing. Responsibilities:

This position will play a critical role with the support and continuous improvement of manufacturing value streams. A successful candidate will be responsible for perpetuating continuous improvement through proactive and assigned evaluations of production processes. The candidate will be able to identify safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale improvement opportunities. He or she will assist in the development and implementation of lasting solutions, and participate in tooling and equipment design reviews. This person will have working knowledge of ergonomic design considerations. The candidate will also be responsible for performing welding operations, preparing welding equipment for proper usage and the layout of equipment to perform as needed. This position requires monitoring work for quality, timeliness, problem-solving and decision making. Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. This position requires knowledge of manufacturing practices and requires knowledge of engineering terminology including design specifications, CAD, BOM, equipment and component testing methods, and equipment functionality.      

Qualifications:

Excellent problem solving skills

Understanding and belief in lean manufacturing principles

Willing to learn and implement process/product improvements

2+ years Gas Metal Arc (MIG) welding experience    

Must be able to pass a 2G weld test

Must have the ability to inspect welds to maintain quality and reduce rework

Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and weld symbols      

Use of precision measuring tools and instruments, i.e. scales and calipers        

The ability to perform fit up, weld, and assemble without using fixtures, surface plates and hand tools, tape measure etc.       

Ability to work independently, competently and within a team

Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and manage multiple projects at one time

Flexibility to work overtime on short notice as necessary      

Good verbal and written communication skills         

Must have the ability to follow all safety procedures and wear all PPE required for the job

Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis     

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Minimum high school diploma and 2+ years of relevant work experience            

Preferred Qualifications:

Machining experience including, but not limited to CNC machines, mills, lathes

Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
