Reporting to the Segment Vice President for Finance the Director of FP&A will provide leadership for the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the AWP Segment.


This position works with senior management, the segments regional Finance Directors and their teams and across the regional commercial and operations teams to develop, consolidate and report monthly performance, quarterly estimates, performance initiatives, operating plans and related variances for the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.


The FP&A Director is also a key point of contact for the segment with our corporate FP&A team. The person will also play a key role in the corporate initiative to develop and deploy a new world-class financial analysis and business case modeling tool. They will also be expected to provide strong financial and business point of view to assist the segment leadership in making strategic business decisions.


  • Direct, manage and actively participate in the process for budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning across the Terex Aerial Work platforms segment
  • Manage and coordinate monthly consolidation of segments operating results.
  • Prepare and submit monthly segment operating summaries and commentary for corporate FP&A team
  • Work with corporate tax team to consolidate tax workbooks required for quarterly reporting
  • Assist in the development of key performance initiatives by establishing metrics and analysis for measurement, reporting and evaluation of results.
  • Design innovative analytical and simplified management reporting tools for improved understanding of financial impact for informed decision making.
  • Provide strategic framing, financial impact, risk assessment and sensitivity analysis to changing business, market and environmental demands.
  • Actively participate in driving financial reporting consistency across the business.
  • Drive the implementation of new financial planning and analysis tool (Onestream) within the segment and act as the segment advocate on the corporate implementation project
  • Work with the regional finance directors to rive consistency of reporting and metrics across the segment
  • Actively participate to increase and improve cash flow generation and business performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across the operational and commercial finance teams to promote teamwork and organizational alignment.
  • Assist with change management activities, process improvement and system efficiencies in order to improve service quality and responsiveness.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 8 years+ of progressively responsible experience including accounting, financial analysis and/or financial management

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • Experience in multi-national manufacturing organizations, including extensive experience in manufacturing cost practices and transfer pricing methodologies
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas/modeling & reporting) and PowerPoint and Word proficiency 
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience in using data warehouse and BI tools to deliver decision support and insightful reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of the principles of financial analysis, statistical data warehouse management, financial systems and data flows.
  • Proven capability in driving budget and forecast process improvement activities. Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills to complement creative “out-of-the-box” thinking.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated individual contributor and strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to work across functional areas and levels of management
  • Hyperion, Oracle, Cognos, Prophix or Onestream experience
  • Proven track record of attaining organizational and personal objectives
