    Manufacturing Technical Services (MTS) – Manufacturing Engineer II (Oklahoma City)


    MTS is a key partner to Design Engineering in New Product Development (NPD). MTS works closely with DE to ensure that products in NPD programs are designed to have the highest possible manufacturability characteristics; ensuring highest possible quality, safety, and lowest possible cost while meeting key performance characteristics.


    MTS is responsible for developing cutting edge manufacturing processes as part of our NPD programs and bring these processes to fruition. MTS is also a key component of advancing AWP manufacturing capability. This includes automation, robotics, and AGV’s.




    Job Description:


    This position will be part of NPD and will also engage in other programs advancing our overall manufacturing capability on current products.


    The position will work in a team comprised of Manufacturing and Design Engineering representatives. The candidate is expected to perform well in team based activities including product and process design. Candidate must also be able to work well in a fast, self-directed work environment managing their personal tasks to ensure that project timelines and objectives are met.


    The candidate must have a good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and have a good track record of developing and implementing process improvements.


    Basic Requirements:

    • B.S. Degree in Engineering. Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or Industrial is strongly preferred. Other degrees will be considered with appropriate experience.
    • 2 + years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Proficiency in SolidWorks is desirable.
    • Experience in application of Arduino-type devices is desirable.
    • Must be able to manage work load for multiple projects at once.
    • Must have a proven history of working independently with minimal direct supervision.
    • Demonstrated team player and team leader qualities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Typical work hours will be four 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday – Friday. Candidates should expect to work additional hours/days as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
