Position Overview:

The Senior IT Business Analyst, will report to the Director, IT Business Engagement Finance and will be a highly visible role in the Corporate Accounting and Finance functions at Terex, with growth potential in the organization.  The expectation is that we deliver process improvements and IT capabilities that enable our Finance organizations to achieve excellence in controls, processes, and service delivery, while driving business analytics, talent development, and financial efficiency.

 

The primary focus of this role will be to work directly with our Corporate Accounting and Finance partners determining business process requirements, proposing opportunities for process improvement and implementing change.  We will assist our business partners with identifying, documenting and implementing process improvements through the effective use of technology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that consistent practices and processes are used throughout the organization to maintain the integrity of the systems.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of systems that support the corporate functions.
  • Collaborates with IT and accounting and finance teams to meet business requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • IT Liaison and advocate for Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams.
  • Initial projects supporting our Finance vision may include:
      • Tool(s) to assist with standardizing COA definitions and mappings across all ERPs.
      • Implementation of internal/external financial reporting tools
      • Process and tools to assist with Tax simplification
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the GBS and operational finance team members.
  • Positively influence change and have a significant impact on our business.
  • Gathers requirements, analyzes, creates design documents, and performs impact analysis for application changes.
  • Define, plan, and implement process improvements.
  • Help with implementation and adoption of new technology capabilities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Accounting or Finance
  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and inter-company transaction flows
  • Minimum 3+ years of combined accounting and/or reporting experience in a global organization
  • Project planning and documentation skills and strong time management capabilities required
  • Leading a project from initiation to implementation is preferred
  • Methodical and process oriented in execution of tasks
  • Ability to work with people across multiple disciplines (interaction with finance, accounting, IT, operations, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in dynamic and constantly changing environments
  • Ability to learn and work independently and possess strong problem solving skills
  • Customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive process improvement
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-national environment, and to lead and influence cross-organizationally with and without direct authority
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

 

Travel:

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time both domestic and international
