Oklahoma City is a unique site to Terex Corporation in North America, manufacturing for each of the business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Cranes, and Terex Materials Processing. Its workforce of 360+ team members is anticipated to grow by more than 1,000 over the next few years. The 100+ acre facility has recently begun an extensive remodel to accommodate the business’ growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness of site HSE programs, procedures and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, effective utilization of Terex best practices, and enhanced productivity.
  • Develop and drive site-specific HSE training programs such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Crane Operations, & Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
  • Perform HSE compliance audits/inspections.
  • Investigate safety/environmental incidents conducting root cause analysis and driving implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to operations personnel to ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Drive HSE performance metrics/improvement across the site and ensure all metrics are monitored and maintained.
  • Promote HSE awareness, performance and engagement throughout the site.
  • Perform risks assessments for new tooling & equipment.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of 5S/Lean programs.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in industrial or occupational safety and health or environmental health and safety
  • 1 year work experience or knowledge with compliance regulations and industry practices:  OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.
  • 6 months HSE work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to address demands from multiple projects and people.
  • Good analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and industry practices:  OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.
  • Strong MS Office and presentation skills.
  • First Aid/CPR certified trainer or certification preferred
