About the Position:

Title:                 Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis 

Reports to:      Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis          

Location:         Westport, CT

Position Overview:

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will support the Vice President of FP&A, executive management team, and CFO in reporting, analysis, and planning relative to business segment and operating unit performance within a multidivisional/multinational Fortune 500 Company. It will include supporting all aspects of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow perspectives, external reporting such as S.E.C. and Investor Relations, as well as macro-economics analysis. In addition, this role will be key in developing presentations for management, Investor Relations, and the Board of Directors.  Additionally, providing guidance related to strategic plans, annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts to the segment finance leaders and segment FP&A team members is a key responsibility of this position.



  • Analyze corporate and business level key performance indicators - financial and operational metrics.
  • Review and report on monthly business unit results.
  • Lead and provide guidance to business segments on strategic plans, annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Lead special projects in support of senior management initiatives.
  • Direct and manage corporate FP&A analysts.
  • Research questions regarding data from Hyperion or other sources.
  • Partner with various functions – Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Business Development, HR and IT.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for Investor Relations and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate industry and economic trends and competitor analysis.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of accounting within a manufacturing environment, including product / standard costing.
  • Can act independently and interact as a partner with senior executive management.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Modeling skills in Excel.
  • Understanding of financial statements.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Reports, and Hyperion Analyzer a plus.



  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15%.
