Terex Strategic Sourcing Initiative
As part of the implementation of our ‘Execute to Win business system, Terex has launched several major initiatives to better understand how we operate in certain areas. A major initiative is in Strategic Sourcing. Wave Teams have been established using a standard 11 step methodology to source specific categories, phased over the next several years. The ultimate intention of this initiative is to develop strategic sourcing excellence. Integral to our success is the delivery of best in class supplier quality and the continuous development of our supply base.
Title: Supplier Quality Engineer, North America
Reports to: Director Supplier Quality Development North America
This position is part of the supplier development and innovation group within the strategic sourcing initiative. Reporting to the Direcgtor Supplier Quality Development the individual will join the Wave teams and support the qualification of new suppliers as well as ongoing supplier quality control, auditing and improvement of supplier related activities and metrics.
The SQE will work closely with suppliers with early involvement to develop advance component development plans, advising suppliers on right tooling, checking aids, providing timely inputs to suppliers on Quality, Delivery and field issues with a view to institute proactive approach on quality.
The SQE will also work closely with factory based SQE colleagues located within the region and globally to help develop measurement systems, component approvals, and quality and delivery issues in cooperation with design and manufacturing engineering teams and supply chain.
A second language relevant to the region would be advantageous
