About the Position

Title:                                  Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Type:                                 Regular, Full-time

Number of Positions:      1

Reports to:                       Director of Engineering

Location:                          Fort Wayne, IN

Work Eligibility:               Must be authorized to work in the U.S.




  • Interpret design specification, drawings, and requirements to match those with the appropriate manufacturing procedures and processes
  • Stay atop of the latest trends in manufacturing equipment and techniques.
  • Identifies, details, plans and lays out flows and processes to maximize manufacturing efficiencies and product integrity
  • Supports resolution of issues related to cost, manufacturability, quality, performance, reliability, and serviceability.  Aids in the transition of products throughout their life-cycle to assure maximum longevity and profitability.
  • Creates innovative solutions to safety related issues with the manufacturing process




Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree
  • 8-10 years experience in related field (in addition to degree)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • APQP, PDCA and Lean Experience Preferred 
  • 6 sigma certified 
  • Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Technology degree
  • Experience Writing Standard Work
  • Assembly tooling and fixturing experience
  • Ability to perform within the principles of Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience with PFMEAs
  • Must have a working knowledge of Excel, Word, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro-E, 3D Modeling Software
  • Experience working with OSHA safety rules
  • Experience with material handling, overhead, and gantry cranes.
  • Experience with Plasma, H2O, Laser cutting equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Solid communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
