Responsibilities:

The successful candidate needs to be qualified to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair truck mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks and cranes.

 

Qualified applicants will be proficient in hydraulic system diagnostics and repair, electrical system diagnostics, and be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics as well as use fluid and load testing tools. Experience with utility-type equipment a plus. Must have own tools. Possess ability to communicate both written and verbal with co-workers and customers. Be able to interpret blue prints, drawings and work orders. Knowledge and skill with hydraulics, automotive electronics, 12/24 volt systems and be able to perform heavy component installations (climbing up, down and under trucks or aerial manlift baskets) in a timely manner.  Position will require driving duties to go to customer site for emergency repairs and/or annual inspections as appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High School
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR requirements
  • 2+ years of recent mechanic experience. (Journeyman level experience  highly preferred and utility equipment, heavy truck equipment or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience with hydraulic and electrical systems and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair these types of systems
  • Basic required tools 
  • 2+ years experience of reading hydraulic and electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills are highly preferred.
  • Industry experience
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders and drawings is preferred.
  • Fluid Power Society Certification is a plus
  • Welding skills are a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL license, Class B
  • Experience with forklift, Aerial Work Platform, and Construction Equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy component installations (climbing up, down and under trucks or aerial manlift baskets) in a timely manner.
