  • Directs and coordinates the activities of Team Members performing technical positions, requiring an advanced knowledge and understanding of technical requirements associated with the specific area of work being supervised.
  • Ability to facilitate, lead and/or manage performance of professional, trade, and technical employees, including journeymen electricians, CNC programmers, tool designers, drafters, engineering technicians, and other positions that require a high degree of technical expertise
  • Receives feedback from Team Members and communicates problems and improvement opportunities to team leaders in manufacturing and engineering
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
  • Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends and or implements improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions to assure optimal use of available capacity
  • Ability to effectively utilize Team Member’s skills and abilities to achieve optimum results.
  • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Investigates and provides solutions for highly complex problems where intricate analysis of situations or data is required
  • Responsible for dissecting complex problems into manageable pieces in order to be delegated to others
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of technical requirements associated with area of work and how it relates to the final product


Basic Qualifications:

  •  5+ years experience in a technically skilled position with supervisory and project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • May have experience operating equipment, MIG welding, machine programming, and/or machine setup and troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand technical blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics and similar documents
  • Requires in-depth technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Problem solving skills to identify and remedy problems with production related machinery, equipment, tools, and fixtures
  • Requires sufficient human relations skills to convey technical concepts to others, instruct and supervise others, and achieve positive work relationships with team members and customers
  •  Requires the ability to perform the various technical aspects of the job.
  • Ability to learn and perform within the principles of lean manufacturing, JIT, and TQM.
  • Requires sufficient reasoning ability to translate plans into production, troubleshoot material and labor problems, and analyze cost, utilization and quality issues
  • Requires the ability to observe and review performance
  • Requires the ability to perform arithmetic calculations and read and record detailed measurements, counts, distances, and times
  • Requires the ability to understand and convey safety policy and practices to others, and employ continuous quality and lean practices in the assigned work areas
  • Requires the ability to instruct others
  • Requires the ability to identify and provide Team Members with opportunities for career and professional development
