Genie /Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with branch offices worldwide. We manufacture material lifts, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms under the world leading Genie brand nameplate.

In this vital role to the Genie Marketing team, as a Senior Marketing Manager you will work closely with the Director of Marketing on overall strategy, customer engagement, and sales enablement activities. This is a challenging opportunity for a Senior Marketer to contribute to the future growth of the global leading Genie brand, while also seeing the direct impact of your efforts. In this exciting role you will work with primarily focus on the North American market, while also providing support to the global Genie marketing teams.


The Senior Marketing Manager role will lead the development of the overall marketing strategy for North America. Working with the multiple marketing disciplines and roles, you will develop and collate the annual marketing strategy, identifying the major themes we should focus on for short and long term planning. You will also serve as the primary brand advocate for global marketing ensuring the Genie brand is represented consistently, while still meeting regional goals. As part of this you will oversee the Genie product naming strategy and trademark portfolio.  You will lead all customer engagement activities for North America and serve as a primary liaison with the sales team to guide the development of sales enablement tools and programs.


  • Work across all marketing disciplines to lead the North America annual strategy development
  • Collaborate extensively with product marketing, digital marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent brand strategy and provide ongoing support for shared initiatives
  • Drive the evolution of Genie brand guidelines and visual templates
  • Lead the Genie product naming strategy process and oversee the trademark portfolio and new trademark applications utilized throughout global marketing
  • Oversee the global review process for Genie branding consistency ensuring the brand is properly represented globally from a graphic standpoint
  • Provide support to global teams on regional branding development as requested
  • Promote the Genie brand, products and services through creative engagement activities supporting individuals responsible for all trade shows, events, and guest visit programs
  • Identify and develop areas of improvement in all customer engagement programs (non-digital)
  • Develop an extensive metrics dashboard to track global customer engagement activities, showcasing the ROI from each activity
  • Create sales enablement tools and programs that will promote sales effectiveness globally with a primary focus on North America
  • Establish consistent communication with the North American Sales team to gather feedback and customer insights to develop effective sales tools and messaging
  • Provide support to Product Marketing team as needed to meet launch goals.
  • Serve as a positive and respected leader on the global marketing team through effective collaboration and communications
  • Provide leadership support to the Director of Marketing with team development plans and team building activities
  • Collaborate with other Terex Business Segments on marketing activities as requested


  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent related field
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a marketing role
    • Minimum 5 years’ managing or supervising individuals
    • Minimum 5 years’ developing marketing strategy
    • Minimum 3 years’ overseeing brand initiatives
    • Minimum 3 years’ leading customer engagement activities including trade shows and events
    • Must have 2-3 years’ managing external vendor relationships


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
    • Experience working in a B2B, manufacturing or OEM equipment business
    • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
    • Strong demonstrated track record of achieving superior business results
    • Creativity and willingness to implement innovative ideas.
    • Extensive experience in tracking return on investment of marketing activities
    • Experience developing sales enablement tools
    • Experience working with a global, multi-cultural team
    • Strong business and financial acumen
    • Ability to take a hands-on, proactive approach
    • Strong knowledge and experience with all Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
    • Exceptional communication skills
    • Exceptional project management skills
    • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
    • Ability to work cross functionally within marketing and other departments
    • Ability to travel up 10-20%
