The Manufacturing Automation department is part of the Terex AWP division.
Terex AWP manufacturing facilities are located within the USA and around the world. This position is for our Redmond, Washington facility.



Members of this team design, build, and support industrial control systems for tools and machines used in our manufacturing facilities. This group also provides specialized support to each plant in modifying and maintaining existing machines and control systems.
The Mfg. Automation Team is looking for an Engineering Technician to support the above described responsibilities. This person will work directly with the engineering group. Primary duties could include any of the following: building electrical control panels, field wiring of new or existing control systems (includes mounting field devices, planning, routing, and terminating control wiring) and troubleshooting and maintaining existing control systems, including the ability to get online and view/edit PLC code.



Basic Qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge of installing control wiring.  460V to 24Vdc.
• Experience building UL508 Industrial control panels.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills. Must be able to maintain and support existing automated machines and control systems.
    • Ability to read basic electrical control schematics
    • Must have a strong attention to detail, patience and the ability to install electrical controls equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
    • Knowledge of machine safety and safety circuits.
    • Must be able to manage work load for several projects at once.
    • Demonstrated team player qualities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • 1+ years of experience accessing and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC systems (Ability to program a plus)
    • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and other code sources.
    • Ability to bend and install conduit.
    • Experience building UL508 Industrial controls.
    • Knowledge of and ability to use Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD, MS Office applications.
