Position Overview

 

The Treasury Intern will support the Treasury team in all areas of reporting, analysis, and planning relative for a multidivisional/multinational Fortune 500 Company.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be undertaking and assisting in a wide range of Corporate Treasury and Risk Management activities including;

  • International Cash Management - Oversee the international cash operation.  Evaluate, develop, and execute international cash management initiatives, changes to bank relationships, and day-to-day international treasury operations to maximize value and minimize risk.  Direct the activities of the Dublin based in-house bank and supervise all international treasury activities.
  • International Cash Forecasting - Direct the international business units in establishing daily cash forecasting capabilities enabling the businesses to operate more efficiently.
  • Corporate Finance - Evaluate opportunities to mobilize international cash as efficiently as possible.  Drive higher operational efficiencies and profitability through the development of creative intercompany funding strategies.  Identify opportunities to repatriate cash from foreign operations in a tax efficient manner.
  • Trade Finance - Oversee existing credit facility and bi-lateral letter of credit lines and identify opportunities for cost savings.  Support the global business needs by providing advisory support in all aspects of trade finance.  Supervise the letter of credit requisition process, ensuring consistency with approved practices.
  • Policies - Review existing policies and identify opportunities to improve existing treasury policies, procedures, and processes to further safeguard the company’s assets.
  • Relationships - Provide support in establishing and maintaining relationships with major commercial banks, investment banks, and other external advisors.  Coordinate across regions, business segments, and tax, accounting, and legal departments on global treasury operation initiatives.
  • People Management - Provide support in building and maintaining a “best practices” global treasury operation.  Retain, mentor, and develop team members to reach their potential and meet the needs of the business.
  • Process Improvement - Provide financial analytical support on broader process improvement initiatives and oversee the identification and deployment of an electronic solution for managing the entire letter of credit process.

Qualifications:

 

  • Junior or Senior year standing (as of Fall 2018) at accredited 4 year university/college.
  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit resume to Terex Career Database.
  • Desire to build a career in Finance.
  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work
