Position Overview

The International Tax intern position will focus on supporting tax team members on a number of ongoing projects including the preparation of US Multinational informational returns for Terex subsidiaries, assisting in the tax provision process, and participating in calls/meetings to understand the underlying data that is used in the provision and return process. Interaction with finance team members worldwide as well as with other Terex functions is to be expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Quantitative data analysis.
  • Assist with creating and providing required work support and documentation.
  • Assist in review and reconciliations.
  • Initiate, track, and review data requests.
  • Coordinate communications with people from different countries, backgrounds, and idiosyncrasies.
  • Provide support where needed.

Qualifications:

 

  • Junior or Senior year standing (as of Fall 2018) at an accredited 4 year university/college.
  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit resume to Terex Career Database.
  • Desire to build a career in Tax.
  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work.

 

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in using general Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Previous experience with SharePoint a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • A commitment to detail, accuracy, and follow-through is essential for success.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees across functions and geographies.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Hours

  • 40 hours per week during normal office hours, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
