MAJOR TASKS:  In accordance with the goals, policies, and procedures of Terex,  the Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Specialist is responsible and accountable for the following essential functions and other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.  Must be able to ship items according to precise orders as to insure quality of parts and delivery times.


  • Small assemblies and accessories prior to shipment.
  • Must be able to read assembly instructions, manual and shipping bills.
  • Processing job orders, invoices and shipping instructions from a Lead or Supervisor as instructed.
  • Inspects equipment used by Terex customers.
  • Receive, ship parts and other small shipments to customers via air or truck using the most cost efficient method. 
  • Prepare bills of lading, air freight, insurance information, etc. for domestic and international shipments.   
  • Contact truck lines and other carriers for pickup orders. 
  • Follow up on shipped orders, research as needed. 
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies for traffic and inside shipping; answer telephone and provide general information; maintain all files for traffic and inside shipping.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.




  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.





  • Knowledgeable of computer operations, 10 Key, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 Years previous material handling, shipping and receiving experience preferred. 
  • Clear understanding of UPS, truck freight and air freight processes. 
  • Must understand International shipping and paperwork. 
  • Must be able to use a fork lift.  Prior use of hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency with math, reading and writing.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills, judgment and decision making skills
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at one time
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance





PHYSICAL WORK DEMAND:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
