Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager ensures continued sales growth in assigned region/customers for all Genie products. All aspects of field based customer service including; relationship development, problem solving, communication, territory management, training and product demonstration. Individual will work with other such as Terex Cross Selling and Trade Shows. This position will be based regionally in the Northeast market, covering Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales leads and service existing customers within assigned territory and region
  • Establish sales forecasts and secure sales orders according to goals
  • Control expenses per agreed-upon budget
  • Ongoing research of local market and business activity and identify opportunities for growth
  • Educate customers on products, services, warranties and technical support. Ensure customers have access to engineers, field service and other team members as necessary
  • Demonstrate and teach proper techniques of prospecting, telemarketing, wholesale and rental closing techniques and quotation and specification
  • Convey Customer feedback on existing products and services, as well as changes, enhancements and new products to marketing team members for research and consideration writing
  • Drive Terex Cross Sale opportunities and revenue growth

Support Trade Shows and Customer Demo’s as appropriate

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years experience in commercial or industrial sales
  • 1 -3 years experience with distribution sales knowledge and experience (rental channels and dealerships)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Experience in the Aerial Work Platform industry
  • Professional level knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales
  • Able to prepare and deliver formal presentations to customers
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to develop sales strategies
  • MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams.
  • Exceptional Time and Territory Management practices.
  • Bi-lingual French and English a plus
  • Regional and long distance travel is required as necessary
