Logistics Manager Role is a leadership role that is responsible for day to day tactical execution of branch operations and Terex-MPS strategies. The LM is responsible for effectively driving execution against all core KPI’s and priorities in the 5 major pillars of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People Development.  The LM is responsible for developing the day to day plans for Order/Route management, Inventory Management, and Employee Performance to support efficient loading and delivery of finished goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages logistics operations. Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. Provides general management of the Order Consolidation function and facility. Responsible for overseeing receiving, handling, storage, assembly, picking and shipment of quality products.
  • Directs and manages assets and personnel to ensure a balance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Management.
  • Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of components, parts, and finished product that include functions such as warehousing, assembly, configuration, picking and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet schedules.
  • Establishes and measures KPI’s, applies statistical methods and drives performance for on-time delivery, shipping, warehouse inventory management, picking efficiencies, assembly, overall product quality, workforce planning requirements, production schedules and forecasts.
  • Manages 3PL transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization’s products.
  • Must have knowledge of national and international import/export regulations and must be able to effectively troubleshoot any issues that may arise in international freight transportation.
  • Manage technical details relating to international transportation, all inbound/outbound custom compliance requirements and documentation.
  • Manage tasks related to the development of timely, cost-effective import and export schemes and the handling of technicalities of international transportation.
  • Responsible for working with existing transportation suppliers on best in class delivery rate and delivery routing.
  • Control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers receive products on time.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • 5 years previous management experience
  • 5 years experience in managing international custom compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience of working with a diverse customer base
