Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry, municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.
The installation engineering manager plans, organizes and directs installation engineering staff to meet company objectives for design of customer specified truck builds, develops standards for installations of Terex stock builds, and improvement of existing product lines by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Oversees key process improvement projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Plans documentation system.
Selects, develops, trains and supervises staff.
Develops, determines and implements policies, procedures and programs.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of current status of backlog and production support.
Working with the manufacturing, operations and quality manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements.
Directs the review of production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
Recommends budgets to Engineering Director, including staff use, technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements.
Directs appropriate support for manufacturing and quality functions within the organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
Thorough technical knowledge of CAD techniques and specific software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mechanical Desk Top (3-D) or equivalent programs. Strong working knowledge of terms, procedures, and components used in industrial manufacturing.
