| Overview: |
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the provision of mechanical and technical support in all workshop and field applications relating to our mine contracts at Lee Ranch.
|
| Responsibilities: |
- Assemble and erect precision assemblies and subassemblies having close tolerances and critical operating requirements.
- Responsible for successful commissioning of new machines on time.
- Fits, aligns and adjusts parts for form, fit and function of completed subassemblies.
- Report repetitive or significant problem areas, identified during site visits in order to continuously improve product.
- Prepares assemblies and subassemblies for movement, positioning, assembly and disassembly of units.
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of all tools under area of control.
- Adhere to Company and mine safety requirements.
- Ensure that customers work practices and use of Terex equipment follows recommended procedures.
- Product problems are attended to within a responsible time frame.
- Maintain and present an efficient professional image to customers at all times.
- Maximum manual lifting requirement of 40 lbs.

| Qualifications: |
- Successful candidate will be a self-starter with a high school diploma and at least two years electrical/mechanical/hydraulic experience related to heavy equipment.
- Must be proficient in hydraulic system repair and 18 to 24 volt system repair.
- Must have or can obtain a valid certified surface mine card.
- Must have basic blueprint reading skills, ability to use basic measuring instruments, and working knowledge of workshop hand tools.
- Requires individual with a history of working with minimum instructions and supervision.
