| Overview: |
The Power Systems Leader will be responsible for a team that implements drive system strategies - technology development, commercialization, sustaining and aftermarket support.

| Responsibilities: |
Lead the newly formed Drive Systems team. This team would be responsible for implementing drive system strategies - technology development, commercialization (NPPD), sustaining and aftermarket support - Demonstrated mastery in three or more of the following electrical engineering areas as they relate to mobile construction, mining or other heavy industrial equipment with the ability to understand and apply all:
- Heavy Electrical Equipment (Motors, Generators) - Vector Control Algorithm Development - Variable Frequency Drive Power Electronics - Software Architecture & Programming - Develop & Comprehend Electrical Schematics |
Primary Point of Contact with Drive system suppliers, responsible for supplier quality, cost and timing, for new designs, sustaining engineering and aftermarket support, coordinating with Engineering , Product support and Aftermarket teams - Lead efforts to define, review and document functional specifications related to specific sub-systems or overall vehicle system architecture for NPPD Drive system projects
- Lead efforts to improve Truck Drive System reliability to be the best in class, in partnership with suppliers
- Actively lead resolution of drive system field issues. Implement system engineering tools such as FMEA and other best practices
- Mentor, train and direct drive system engineers (mechanical and electrical) and service personnel, external resources and suppliers to achieve program objectives.
- Follow all Terex company and division policies and procedures issues.

| Qualifications: |
Education | Bachelor of Electrical Engineering required; PE License and/or advanced degree highly desirable. | Personal skills | - Functional Skills - Minimum of 10 years engineering experience with demonstrated leadership skills and capability to integrate, test and commercialize new value added technologies preferably in applications pertaining to mobile construction, mining and/or other heavy industrial equipment. Strong project management and supplier management skills
- Technical Skills - Demonstrated knowledge of electrical design as related to mobile mining & construction or heavy industrial equipment to include relevant design standards; e.g. NEC, NEMA, IEC, MSHA, MDG15, ISO, SAE
- Planning - Demonstrated ability to plan and lead significant technical projects from an engineering perspective from concept development through design, validation, release to production and sustaining
- Drive for Results - Willing and able to personally take on all aspects of a project; whatever it takes to get assigned work complete.
